What’s Coming in Windows Live Suite - Wave 3

windows live wave 3 Microsoft is preparing to release new versions of their Windows Live family of products including Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Messenger, Photo Gallery, Windows Live Mail and so on.

Microsoft will also add some products like Movie Maker and Live Video Messages to the Windows Live basket. None of them are live yet but you can get a good idea of upcoming features via these leaked screenshots.


Windows Live Movie Maker

Windows Live Movie Maker will be integrated with Windows Live Photo Gallery enabling user to convert both digital photos and videos into a quick movie. You’ll can also upload videos from the computer directly to YouTube, MSN Soapbox and other video sharing sites directly from Windows Live Movie Maker. Source: LiveSide

Windows Live Writer

The next version of Windows Live Writer lets you upload local videos directly from the blog editor onto YouTube. If you are into screencasts, this would make life much simple.

Windows Live Writer Wave 3 also includes support for Photo Albums and Windows Live Events. There’s also a link called "Slideshow" that will probably enable users to view that particular photo album as a self-running slideshow. Source: Live Sino

Windows Live Photo Gallery

Forget these mock-up screenshots, Windows Live Photo Gallery will have facial recognition much like what you have in Picasa Web Albums. Windows Live Messenger 9

Other than the revamped UI, there’s a new "Wha’t New" section similar to Facebook news feed. It has a list of things that your IM friends are doing on the web whether they are uploading photos, publishing a blog, etc. Source: LiveSide

Windows Live Calendar
