Google AdSense Ads In FeedBurner RSS Feeds May Be Coming Soon

feedburner-adsense Like YouTube, you will soon be able to login into FeedBurner using your regular Google account.

That’s one less username and password to remember though only a select group of publishers will get invites for the first round of migration from FeedBurner to Google Accounts.

In another exciting news, FeedBurner cofounder Steve Olechowski shared that they are working on integrating FeedBurner and Google AdSense.

FeedBurner blog - "If you are a feed advertiser, we have some happy surprises coming for you as well, and if you are an advertiser who is not yet a feed advertiser, you too shall be blessed with good fortune."

Here are some possible interpretations:

1. We may see contextual Google AdSense Ads replacing the FeedBurner ads in RSS feeds. That’s good news for feed owners as contextual ads almost always out-perform static banner ads.

2. Google Adwords customers may get to advertise in RSS feeds from their Adwords account itself without using the FeedBurner Advertising Network.

This option is not just very convenient for Adwords users, it could also translate into higher revenues for publishers because now a much larger pool of advertisers will be competing for the same advertising slot in your RSS feed.

FeedBurner ads are currently based on CPM basis but with AdSense coming into play, you never know if CPC and CPA also become an option. Interesting times.
